Why strength

Strong is not a size. It is a skill.

  • Weights floor.
  • Not sure how.
  • Afraid of injury.
  • No plan.
  • No time.

Plenty of women would like to lift weights and never start, because the weights floor feels like someone else's space and nobody has shown them how.

Strength training is one of the most useful things you can do for your body at any age. Muscle and bone both respond to load, and both decline with age if you do not train them, faster after menopause.

With a female coach at home or in your building gym, you learn the main lifts properly, with weights that suit you, and get stronger every few weeks.

What changes

What strength changes

  1. 01

    Get strong

Squats, hinges, presses and carries, with a little more weight every week or two.

  2. 02

    Shape and tone

Muscle gives your body its shape. Lifting builds it; endless cardio does not.

  3. 03

    Look after your bones

Loading your skeleton is one of the main ways to protect bone density as you age.

  4. 04

    Fewer aches

Stronger hips, back and shoulders often mean fewer everyday aches and niggles.

  5. 05

    Train on your own

You will know how to train by yourself, in any gym, wherever you travel.

The BYLDUP method

Technique first, then load

A simple programme, coached properly, beats a complicated one done alone.

  1. Assess

Movement screen, joint range, posture and left-right balance, plus your history and goals.

    • Movement screen
    • Joint range
    • Baseline
  2. Build

A programme around the basics: squat, hinge, push and pull, plus carries and core.

    • Squat
    • Hinge
    • Push
    • Pull
  3. Coach

Technique coached rep by rep. The weight goes up only when the form is right.

    • 1:1 coaching
    • Progressive load
  4. Adapt

Strength retested regularly, and the programme adjusted to your results and your week.

    • Retests
    • Plan adjusted

Not this

Random hard work

  • Random machines and light dumbbells
  • Copying videos without feedback
  • The same weights for months
  • Fear of getting hurt

The BYLDUP Ladies way

Training with a plan

  • The main lifts taught properly
  • Form checked on every rep
  • Weights progress on a plan
  • Strength measured and logged

Built around you

Your body is not a template. Your training isn't either.

Exercise choice, intensity, recovery and progression are adjusted around you, week by week.

  • Experience

Never lifted, some experience, or back after a break. Starting weights come from your assessment.

  • Goals

Strength, shape, bone health or sport. The programme reflects what you train for.

  • Injuries

Lifts are adapted around old injuries and sore joints.

  • Life stage

Pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause: training changes with you, with your doctor's input where needed.

  • Equipment

Home, building gym or full gym. Your coach brings kettlebells, dumbbells and bands where needed.

  • Schedule

Two or three sessions a week is enough for steady progress.

The BYLDUP philosophy

Built for the next 10 years. Not the next 10 weeks.

The first results are only the beginning. The aim is strength, fitness and habits that keep working for you long after them.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Still deciding? Ask a coach directly. We reply on WhatsApp.

01Is there a female strength coach near me in Abu Dhabi?

Yes. Alex, Veronica and Aya coach strength training at your home or in your building gym across Abu Dhabi, and bring the equipment the session needs.

02Will I get bulky?

No. Building noticeable size takes years of specific training and eating for it. For most women, lifting is what creates a toned, shaped look.

03I have never lifted weights. Where do I start?

With the basics: how to squat, hinge, push and pull with good form, using light weights or just your body. Your coach adds weight only when the technique is right.

04Is strength training safe after 40 or after menopause?

For most women it is one of the most useful kinds of exercise at that stage, because it helps keep muscle and bone. Warm-ups and progressions are more gradual. If you have osteoporosis or another condition, check with your doctor first.

05Can I train at home without a gym?

Yes. Your coach brings adjustable kettlebells, dumbbells and bands, which cover most women's first year of training or more. If your building gym has better equipment, we use it.

06How often should I train?

Two or three sessions a week is enough for steady progress. Your coach suggests what fits your goals and recovery.

07Can I lift weights while pregnant?

Many women keep strength training through pregnancy with adjustments and their doctor's approval. Our pre and postnatal page explains how we adapt it.
