Why private
A class moves at the pace of the room.
- Back pain.
- Desk posture.
- Weak core.
- After baby.
- No time.
Group classes are good for general fitness. They are less good when your lower back has been sore for months, or your core has not felt the same since pregnancy, because nobody has time to watch how you move.
Private Pilates starts from you: how your spine moves, how you breathe, and which muscles are doing the work. The sequence is built for your body, not for a class average.
Sessions happen on a mat at home or in your building gym. No studio to drive to, and nobody else in the room.
- 01
Stronger core
Deep abdominal and back muscles that support you all day, not just a flatter-looking stomach.
- 02
Better posture
Shoulders, upper back and neck trained to sit where they should after long hours at a desk or carrying a baby.
- 03
Less back pain
Research supports exercise, including Pilates, for long-term lower back pain. We check for warning signs first.
- 04
Move with control
Balance, flexibility and coordination improve together, and carry into everything else you do.
- 05
A calmer hour
Slow, breath-led sessions are a reset in a busy week.
Mat or reformer?
Which Pilates is right for you
| Compare | Mat Pilates | Reformer Pilates |
|---|---|---|
| Equipment | A mat and small props your instructor brings | A reformer machine with springs and straps |
| Where | Anywhere at home, in a garden or your building gym | Wherever you have a reformer, at home or in your building |
| Resistance | Your own body weight, bands and small balls | Adjustable springs, lighter or heavier |
| Best for | Core control, posture, back care and postnatal recovery | Extra support or extra load, rehab and strength |
| With us | Jelena, Aya and Veronica | Aya, IFAT Level 2 Reformer instructor |
Female instructors only
Every Pilates session on this page is taught one-to-one by a woman, at your home or in your building. Wear what you are comfortable in; nobody else is in the room.
Outdoors when it is cooler
From October to April, sessions can move to your garden, terrace or a quiet stretch of beach early in the morning.
The BYLDUP method
A sequence built for your body
Every block of the session has a reason, and every week builds on the last.
Assess
Posture, breathing, spine and hip mobility, and your history: pain, pregnancies, injuries and goals.
Build
Your sequence: what to strengthen, what to release, and what to leave out for now.
Coach
Hands-on, one-to-one cueing, so every movement is done with the right muscles.
Adapt
Exercises progress as your strength and control improve, and change on days when something hurts.
Your coaches
Coached one-to-one by women.

How to start
Three steps to your first session.
- 1
Book a strategy session
Tell us your goal, your week and where you would like to train. It takes a minute, online or on WhatsApp.
- 2
Talk it through
We go through your goals, history and schedule with you, and match you with the right female coach.
- 3
First session at your place
Your coach comes to you, runs a movement and fitness assessment, and training begins.
Training that comes to you
Your home. Your building. Your pace.
No crowded gym, no drive across town, no waiting for equipment. Your coach brings the session to you.

Home
Villa, apartment or private space. Your coach arrives with what the session needs, from a mat to dumbbells and kettlebells.

Building gym
Train in your building or community gym. Your coach plans around the equipment already there. Some buildings have rules for visiting trainers, so check with management first.

Outdoors
Corniche, beach or park, early or late in the day during the cooler months.

Not this
Random hard work
- Copying a class at full speed
- Pushing through pain
- The same routine every week
- Nobody checking your form
The BYLDUP Ladies way
Training with a plan
- Every movement cued one-to-one
- Warning signs checked, pain respected
- The sequence progresses with you
- A short home practice between sessions
Built around you
Your body is not a template. Your training isn't either.
Exercise choice, intensity, recovery and progression are adjusted around you, week by week.
Goals
Back pain, posture, core strength or flexibility. The sequence follows what matters most to you.
Pain & injuries
We ask about pain first and adapt every exercise around it. Some symptoms need a doctor before Pilates.
Pregnancy
Pre and postnatal Pilates with an instructor trained in it, after your doctor's clearance.
Schedule
Early mornings, school hours or evenings, at home or in your building.
Experience
Complete beginners start with breathing and basics. Experienced clients get more challenge.
Equipment
Mat Pilates needs only a mat. If you have reformer access, Aya is trained to teach on it.
The BYLDUP philosophy
Built for the next 10 years. Not the next 10 weeks.
The first results are only the beginning. The aim is strength, fitness and habits that keep working for you long after them.

Bone Density, Osteoporosis and Arthritis: What Women Should Know Before 40
Bone loss begins earlier than most women expect and accelerates sharply at menopause. The window to build against it is narrower than it sounds — and resistance training is the only lever that reliably works.
01Can I find a female Pilates instructor near me?
Yes. Jelena, Aya and Veronica teach private Pilates at your home or in your building across Abu Dhabi, so the instructor comes to you instead of you driving to a studio.
02Do I need a reformer at home?
No. Most of our Pilates is Mat Pilates, which needs only a mat and a few small props your instructor brings. If you have a reformer at home or in your building, Aya is trained to teach on it.
03Is Pilates good for lower back pain?
Research supports exercise, including Pilates, for long-term lower back pain, and many of our clients start for that reason. We check for warning signs first: numbness, leg weakness, pain after a fall, or pain with fever or weight loss need a doctor before any exercise. This is education, not medical advice.
04Can I do Pilates while pregnant or after giving birth?
Often yes, with your doctor's clearance. Veronica and Alex hold pre and postnatal qualifications, and every session is adapted to your stage.
05How is this different from a studio class?
In a class you follow the room. In a private session your instructor watches every repetition, adjusts each exercise to your body and changes the plan when something hurts.
06How often should I do Pilates?
Two sessions a week is a good start for most people, with a short home practice in between. Your instructor suggests what fits your goals and your week.
07I have never done Pilates. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Beginners start with breathing, alignment and simple movements, and build from there.
