How Much Does a Personal Trainer Cost in Abu Dhabi?
BYLDUP Coaching Team · November 2026
What personal training costs in Abu Dhabi in 2026, what changes the price per session, how packages and monthly plans compare, and the questions to ask before you pay for anything.
Personal training prices in Abu Dhabi vary more than almost any other service in the city. Across gyms, freelance coaches and at-home services you will see quotes from roughly AED 150 to more than AED 450 a session. The number on its own tells you very little. What matters is what sits behind it, and how much of what you pay for actually turns into results.
This guide explains what drives the price, shows our own prices as a worked example, and lists the questions worth asking any trainer before you sign up.
What changes the price of a session
Five things account for most of the difference between one quote and another.
- Where the session happens. A trainer who comes to your villa, building gym or compound is spending time on the road before and after every session. At-home training costs more than a session on the floor of a gym you already pay to use, but there is no membership, no commute and no waiting for equipment.
- How many sessions you buy at once. Almost every trainer in Abu Dhabi charges less per session for bigger packages. The difference between a small and a large package is often 30% or more per session.
- The coach's qualifications and specialism. A coach qualified in pre and postnatal training, rehabilitation, Pilates or swimming usually charges more than a general fitness instructor, because the work is more specialised and the risk of getting it wrong is higher.
- What is included. Some prices cover the hour and nothing else. Others include programming between sessions, nutrition guidance, progress testing and messaging support. Two quotes at the same price can be very different products.
- One-to-one or shared. Training with a partner or in a small group splits the cost and brings the price per person down considerably.
What BYLDUP charges, as a worked example
These are our prices as of November 2026 for private one-to-one training at your address in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. They exclude 5% VAT. The current list is always on our pricing page.
- Foundation, 8 sessions: AED 425 per session (AED 3,400 + VAT), valid for 45 days.
- Essential, 12 sessions: AED 395 per session (AED 4,740 + VAT), valid for 60 days.
- Build, 24 sessions: AED 300 per session (AED 7,200 + VAT), valid for 90 days.
- Core, 50 sessions: AED 270 per session (AED 13,500 + VAT), valid for 180 days.
There are also two monthly plans for people who prefer paying every 30 days: 8 sessions a month at AED 345 per session (AED 2,760 + VAT) and 12 sessions a month at AED 325 per session (AED 3,900 + VAT). Both have a 3-month minimum and then continue until you cancel.
Every package includes a programme written for you, all equipment brought to your address, progress re-testing every six weeks and messaging support between sessions. The coach's travel within our Abu Dhabi and Dubai areas is included in the price.
Packages or a monthly plan?
A package is the better choice if you want the lowest price per session and can commit to a set number of sessions within a fixed period. The 24 and 50-session packages are where the price per session drops the most.
A monthly plan suits people who want a steady routine of two or three sessions a week without paying a large amount upfront. It costs less per session than the small packages and spreads the cost evenly.
Whichever you choose, the deciding factor is how often you will actually train. Eight sessions used in six weeks will do more for you than twenty-four sessions that expire half used.
What a cheaper session can cost you
A low price per session is only good value if the sessions work. The most common ways people lose money on personal training in Abu Dhabi are:
- Sessions that are the same workout every week, with nothing written down and no plan for progression.
- No starting measurements, so after three months nobody can say whether anything changed.
- Packages that expire before you can use them, especially across summer travel.
- A trainer who cancels or arrives late without the session being replaced.
Ask about all four before you pay.
Questions to ask any personal trainer
- What qualifications do you hold, and are you registered with REPs UAE?
- What happens in the first session, and what will you measure?
- How long is the package valid for, and what happens if I travel?
- What is your cancellation policy, for me and for you?
- What is included between sessions: programme, nutrition, messaging?
- Will I always train with the same coach?
A good trainer will answer all of these clearly and in writing.
The short answer
In Abu Dhabi, expect to pay roughly AED 270 to AED 450 a session for qualified one-to-one training at your home, with the lower end coming from larger packages. Paying a little more for a coach who measures, plans and adjusts is usually cheaper in the long run than paying less for sessions that do not change anything.
